DEPUTY PRINCIPAL - Mel Loban
As I transition back to full time this term, I would like to extend my sincerest thanks to Matt Jones for stepping up and covering my position during my absence over the past year and a half. His unwavering dedication, and support made an immeasurable difference—not just to me personally, but to the entire Tingalpa community.
Taking on additional responsibilities during such a long and uncertain period is no small feat, and he did so with grace, professionalism, and compassion. His actions reflect the very best of what it means to be a colleague and work together to support our school community. I am truly grateful for everything he has done – thanks again Matt!

Year 3 - 6 students will also participate in a swimming carnival on Monday 1 December – please complete the expression of interest and nominate for swim events and return to school along with the swimming survey.
ITEMS TO TAKE – Please ensure items are clearly named
- Swimming bag – students are to bring their swimwear to school to change into at the pool or wear them to school if their lesson is first up.
- Swimwear – girls are to wear a one-piece suit.
- Swim shirt - All students are to wear swim shirts over their swim wear. Swim shirts must not be any longer than their knees or so baggy that they fall off. We also discourage blue swimwear as the pool is painted blue for line of sight for supervision.
- Swim cap
- Goggles – if your child’s eyes get irritated by the water then goggles would be advised.
- Ear Plugs – only if your child has known ear drainage problems – no blue-tac.
- Hairbrush/Comb – if necessary.
- Plastic Bag – to put wet swimwear and towel in.
- Medication – Asthma medication MUST be packed if your child needs it, and they will be responsible for it. If any other medications are required during swimming lessons, please contact the office to discuss as soon as possible.
