Student Free Day – Friday 5 September 2025
On Friday, next week, staff will be participating in professional development on the designated Student Free Day. This is an opportunity for us to review curriculum and pedagogical practices used during teaching and learning. The focus of our professional learning will be around Mathematical Modelling, how we teach real world problem solving using mathematical knowledge and skills. Students are not to attend school on this day.
Teacher Aide Appreciation Week 2025
Australian Teacher Aide Appreciation Week in 2025 will be celebrated from Monday 1 September to Friday 5 September. This annual event provides an opportunity for schools and communities to recognise and express gratitude for the work and positive impact of teacher aides.
From the Tingalpa State School Community, we say thank you to our Learning Assistants for their hard work and dedication.
Father’s Day Events
The P&C will hold a Father’s Day Stall at school on Thursday 4 September 2025. Teachers will take their class to the stall at a time during this day.
Volunteers are still needed. If you have some free time and would like to help out please register using the folllowing link https://volunteersignup.org/9EP3E
Prep classes will also be holding a Father’s Day celebration at 2:00pm in the hall and classrooms, giving our Prep students a chance to spoil their dads.
We wish all our fathers a very happy Father’s Day on Sunday 7 September 2025.
Parent/Teacher Interviews
Parent/Teacher Interviews will take place on Tuesday 16 September between 3:15pm and 8:00pm. An email will be sent soon with details for booking interviews. If you are unable to book an interview at this time, please contact your class teacher for alternate arrangements.
Parent/Teacher interviews provide a great opportunity to get to know your child’s teacher and to hear important updates on academic and social/emotional information about your child. It also demonstrates to our students the important partnership parents and teachers share in the education of children.
There is no assembly in Week 10 due to Parent/Teacher interviews.
