A big congratulations to the students who participated in the 2025 Tingalpa Science Competition. We had 27 projects submitted this year by some of our amazing students.

Our competition aligns with National Science Week celebrated from 9 – 17 August.

The projects have been on display in the Cre8 Centre this week allowing all classes to come and enjoy the projects during their science lesson, congratulate the students involved, and learn a little about different science topics. The topics ranged from the constellations in our night sky, how to recycle paper, to how cup phones work.

The projects were judged against set criteria with the students awarded a Bronze, Silver or Gold Award. Mrs O’Keeffe’s job of awarding the Senior and Junior Principal Awards was quite challenging due to the very high standard of the projects this year. Her awards will be announced on Assembly in Week 6. The following students entered the competition and received the following awards.

Bronze Award – For a science project that achieved good results in some of the judging criteria.
