PRINCIPAL - Donna O'Keeffe
Term 2 is drawing to a close. It has been a term full of accomplishments and celebrations. We have enjoyed many community events, with P&C Family Movie Night, Mother’s Day Stall and Colour Fun Run. As well as school events, such as, Under 8’s morning, Junior and Senior Athletics and a range of excursions and incursions.
I would like to wish you all an enjoyable winter holiday. I hope you have time to rest, relax and recharge with your family and friends. See you in Term 3.
Monty’s Colour Fun Run - 13 June.
I would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to our school community for their efforts with fundraising for our colour fun run last Friday, you have raised $33,905. This has been of great assistance in helping to fund our new playground.
Fun was definitely the order of the afternoon, as students enjoyed their colour run, a range of games and sliming staff. It is amazing how far slime spreads; it was cold and gooey and a great deal of fun.
Our playground development is progressing well. Today has been a hive of activity with the concrete trucks pouring our new pathways. The foundations and new drainage should improve the play surface and run-off into the eating/line-up area two. Garden beds are taking shape and the landscapers are preparing for the arrival of a shade structure and play equipment. Please see the attached the landscape/playground plan for the overall design picture.
P&C Soccer Goals
Thank you to the P&C for the donation of new sturdy soccer goals for the lower oval. They are in place and the students love them.

School Cleaners’ Day
Crazy Hair Day
Next Friday 27 June is ‘Crazy Hair Day’, a P&C Year 6 Graduation Fundraiser. Students can try out crazy hairdos for a gold coin donation. Students will still need to wear school uniforms and be sun safe with hats during play time, so the challenge is to find a crazy hairdo that works with school hats. Have fun! Here a few ideas.
