Monty’s Colour Fun Run - Friday 13 June 1:50 - 3:00pm

Our fundraising goal this year is $64 286.

Every time we reach a new milestone of funds raised, another teacher or staff member will be on the list to be Slimed!

AND

The class with the most money raised will win a Party Day!

Watch out Mr Jones and Mrs O'Keeffe!!! You are both next on the sliming list.

All funds raised from this event are going to funding the amazing new playground. In addition, at the end of the fundraiser, students choose between supporting the Care for a Cause option, or ordering Incentive Prizes.

We have raised $23 021 so far.

Top Three Student Fundraisers:

Thorin M in 3C is our highest fundraiser,

Aurora S in Prep B is in second place and,

Arthur R in 1C and Campbell S in Prep B are in third.

Street library installation

You will find our third street library installed on the wall near line-up area 2 (Year 3/4). We look forward to seeing it filled with books from home shortly and the students swapping books and engaging in reading.

Containers for Change

Did you know that we also raise money through Containers for Change? Next time you drop off your cans and bottles, scan this QR code and the funds will go to the P&C fundraising campaign.

Last year we raised approximately $1000, let’s see if we can do that again this year!

Canal+ and Tingalpa State School P&C

Tingalpa State School P&C has partnered with Canal+, a French television channel. The French bilingual teachers now have access to a subscription of free French documentaries, channels and educational programs.

If you are interested in subscribing to Canal+, please mention Tingalpa State School, and the P&C will receive a $10 donation.

SPOTLIGHT on the P&C

This new segment will introduce you to our P&C executive, P&C members and our superstar volunteers. Each newsletter we will introduce you to a different person.

This week is our P&C secretary: Dan Jackson

Name: Dan Jackson

P & C Role: Secretary

Why I joined the P & C: I love my children and home life more than anything in the world, but if I am being honest, it’s a great excuse to get out of cleaning up the kitchen after dinner twice a term! Plus getting to join the meetings with the great teachers and parents is always enjoyable. It’s fun to do something for the school!

Children at Tingalpa: My sons are in Year 4 and 2, in the French Bilingual Program.

When I’m not at P&C meetings: I work at a software company in the Valley. On my work-from-home days I try to play as much handball in the mornings with my boys during drop-offs as possible.

Fun Fact: Actually, there are very few facts about me that aren’t fun ? I like to drink Iced Long Blacks before work in the morning (even in winter), and watch junky reality TV at night.
