AEFE Professional Development
Our AEFE partnership gives us the opportunity to host French professional development sessions at Tingalpa State School. This week we welcomed Michele Lacoste and Isabelle Savary, AEFE accredited training staff to deliver training modules to our French teachers.
Over the two days, teachers will take turns to participate in different sessions on writing, reading comprehension and reading fluency.
Le Van du Livre
It is always a pleasure to welcome Jacques and Anne from Le Van du Livre to share resources with our teachers and school community. Students have enjoyed browsing and discovering new resources during their visit to the van.
French Film Festival
We are happy to have students from our Year 4, 5 and 6 classes in the French Bilingual Program to attend the French Film Festival this year.
They will be watching the film ‘Savages’/’Sauvages’ by Claude Barras. This animated movie is centered around the theme of deforestation and humans’ relationship with nature.
New Resources
Thanks to your voluntary contributions towards the French Bilingual Program, we have been able to purchase some teaching resources. We have another order of books for our teachers and students on it's way.
Work from our Prep class
Our Prep class has been working on colours based on the book 'Petit Poisson Blanc' - The Little White Fish.
