Wynnum Road Carpark Safety Reminder

The school's Workplace Health and Safety Officer and I have been closely monitoring the Wynnum Road carpark this week. To ensure the safety of all students and families, we would like to remind everyone of the following important rules:

No Pick-Up Zone: The Wynnum Road carpark is not a designated pick-up zone. Adults are not permitted to collect students while still in their vehicle. If you wish to use the school’s designated pick-up zone, please use the Tenbar Street entrance.

Parent Supervision Required: Students are not permitted to enter the carpark unless accompanied by a parent. The parent must be physically present with the child to collect them.

Use Designated Parking Spaces: Please park only in the designated parking spaces. Do not park on the curbs or in the lanes at the end of the parking spaces. This helps maintain a safe parking area and reduces the risk of accidents.

Walking Through the Carpark: If you are meeting your children outside the school, please remind them to walk through the Wynnum Road gate rather than crossing through the carpark.

Thank you for helping us keep the carpark a safe space for everyone.

Instrumental Music Lessons commenced this week for our junior instrumental members, and the senior band met for the first time for 2025. Next week, we will have lessons for our senior and junior instrumental members. We would also like to welcome back Ms Caroline Finlay as our instrumental music teacher this year. We are looking forward to having another sensational year with our instrumental music program.

Expression of Interest for Year 5/6 Camp

Expression of Interest (EOI) forms have been distributed this week. Please take some time to discuss with your child whether they would like to attend the camp this year. The purpose of this initial note is to gather participation numbers, which will help the school calculate the final cost and provide families with the information as early as possible.

Further details regarding amenities, activities, cost, medication, and dietary requirements will be shared at a later date.

If you would like more information about this year’s camp, please click on the link below to visit the camp website.
